Beside the SRS air back and electrical steering, I do like the braking technology. The best feeling when I brake. It really smooth. ABS is anti-lock breaking system. It prevent the wheels from locking while breaking. ABS allows me to maintain steering control over heavy braking. It preventing a skid and allowing the wheels to continue roll as directed by steering input.

Recent ABS in VIOS is not meant for anti-lock only, it now enhance with BA (Brake Assistance) and EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution).

BA will boosts braking pressure during emergency brake and EBD will optimize the brake force on each wheels according to road condition, speed and loading. Therefore this will maximizes the braking and ensure the maximum braking effectiveness.

My VIOS G model come with front and back disk brake. Give me more confident on the road.

On the gear box, VIOS use Super ECT for the gear transmission. ECT stand for Electronic Control Transmission. It use electronic technology to control transmission operation. The electronic sensor will monitor the speed of the vehicle, speed of input shaft, gear position and throttle opening. Super ECT in VIOS provided intelligent gear shifting and positioning in uphills and downhills driving. This system contribute a refine driving experience for me with the smooth shifting of its 4-speed automatic transmission.

For the suspension, it use MacPherson strut with stabilizer in front and torsion beam with coil spring in rear. The result, it improve ride comfort and steering stability.

For the engine, it 1.5cc, 4 cylinder DOHC, 16V, power up with Toyota VVTi technology. I still learn about this engine. Right now what I know is, it is not using RPM like Honda to activate the VTEC engine. Will ask machines more about this this VVTi engine. From my reading I know that higher power, better fuel efficiency and cleaner exhaust are the result with VVTi.

And yes, I feel and experience it myself. It is really fuel efficiency with VVTi, really comfortable with the suspension and MORE power in engine.

All this feature is not for me. I bought it especially for the person who will sit beside me (",)
